As of October, 2021; American Airlines flies 231 domestic destinations and 123 international destinations in 61 countries. The U.S. and countries around the world have imposed a range of travel restrictions and testing requirements due to COVID-19. You may not be allowed to travel to certain destinations or may be required to self-quarantine when you arrive. A face covering is required by federal law when indoors at the airport and on board American Airlines flights. In addition, passengers flying to the U.S. from another country, including U.S. citizens, must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 3 days of departure, or documentation of recovery. Basic Economy fares are non-refundable and non-changeable for flights originating in North America, South America and certain countries in Asia. For flights originating outside North or South America the no change fee applies, but you may owe a difference in ticket price. Seats are non-transferable and valid only on the flight purchased. Fees for seats are non-refundable with some exceptions.
